Christmas Concert - A HUGE Success!
Congratulations to all musicians on yet another fantastic Christmas Concert! The quality of the performance was exceptional, and everyone left the show filled with Christmas Spirit.

I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community. Over $900 was raised at the concert, and will now cover the expenses for new trumpet mutes, saxophone neck-straps, concert snare drum stands, and a plethora of other needs.

Thank you all. May your Christmas Season be will with Peace and with Joy.
Welcome Musicians of the 2016-2017 School Year!
Welcome everyone. It is going to be another exciting year for the Music Department. We have presently received school approval, and are waiting for Board approval for our Senior Music Trip to Washington D.C.!!! Check back here for more details, as they arrive.

Junior Band is off to a great start. Everyone is welcome to come and learn to play an instrument. New members are still invited to join us on Thursdays after school.

Parents, please remind your child that being "part of the band or choir" means that he/she is expected to attend rehearsals on a weekly basis. There is always room to share, when extra-curricular activities conflict. Please encourage your child to speak with Ms. Kowlessar, to set up an equitable schedule.

This year, we are asking students (and parents) to make payments for Music Vests, trips and excursions using our new School Cash Online system. Please contact Ms. Kowlessar or Mrs. Grant (Finance Secretary) if you have questions.

Take a minute and have a look at the calendar. Christmas and Spring Concert dates have been set. Please mark these dates on your calendars at home, and remind Grandmas and Grandpas and neighbours and friends that this is a FANTASTIC way to support Music Education in students' lives.
